What are your plans for the future?

I have accepted an offer from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland to pursue a postgraduate degree in Museum Studies.

Describe a defining moment in your time in the School of the Arts.

There were many defining moments during my time at KU. During my first-year seminar in my freshman year, I took a combination history and film class that put me with a like-minded group of people. Not only did I make my closest friends in the class, but I added my film major because of the exposure to a subject I would not have found otherwise. In my senior year, I used my 5-year research project for both my historical thesis capstone and my feature-length documentary for my film capstone. I was able to incorporate both majors throughout my studies.

What has influenced your creativity here at KU?

I achieved many accomplishments during my undergraduate years with the immense support of peers and staff. In addition to my completed undergraduate thesis and feature-length documentary, I attended the premiere of a film I assisted with at the famous Chinese Theater in Los Angeles in the summer of 2019. None of these would have been possible without the equally impressive accomplishments of the students around me and the encouragement from mentors I had in the history and film departments.
